CV Tips:
To ensure that everything goes smoothly with your job selection process here is a simple guideline for you to follow:
- What does your new employer want to see in your CV, and what crucial information should you include to have the best chance of success? Qualifications, contact details and work experience should be your starting point.
- Make sure that you have recorded your CV details as accurately as possible and have not missed out any details of your career or education.
- Record all of your start and finish dates with previous employers.
- Highlight the key areas of your roles in bullet points and try not to write paragraphs.
- Previous responsibilities, what duties you undertook, whether or not you worked on your own or within a team, what your achievements were.
- Try and keep your CV looking neat and tidy and not rolling over onto several pages.
- Generally speaking hobbies and interests are not considered particularly important so you should keep this section of your CV brief and relevant.
Salary:
Your interview is a key stage for you to negotiate your salary and you should consider whether a pay rise compared to your current job is a real possibility, because you need your new company to make it worth your while. If you are considering a career change then maybe the money is not as important as the job experience and is a chance to change track and find a new life with a new career.
Training / Development
Training and development are crucial, and you need to check that your contract of employment gives you all the perks and safeguards that you have a right to expect.

If you have references from a number of referees, then this improves the credibility of your curriculum vitae and therefore the chance that you will at least get an interview.
