Job Purpose:
• To manage all production operations and associated support departments to meet business / customer requirements and to continually improve manufacturing efficiencies, reducing costs and achieve key operational performance objectives within a demanding environment
Reports to:
• Managing Director
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop a manufacturing strategy and a framework of operating standards to satisfy business plan objectives and growing customer demands
• Control operations within the plant to optimise throughput and efficiency whilst minimising waste and ensuring customer expectations for quality and delivery are met on time and in full.
• Develop Continuous improvement plan and measures
• Establish consistency in the application of operating standards and an awareness/compliance with safety, health and environmental legislation
Prospects:
• Future prospects are wide and varied due to expansion, acquisition, diversification and innovation
Candidate Requirements:
• Production experience in flexible packaging ideally within the food sector, however other industry sectors will be considered
• Leadership/people management skills
• Experience of logistics and planning would be a distinct advantage
• Self-driven, results oriented with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality and business profit
• Reliable, tolerant and determined with good communication skills
