Key Responsibilities:
• Our client is looking for an experienced Artworker with Illustrator or Photoshop experience to join their team.
• Covering a wide portfolio of packaging products and substrates
• You will be creating pre-press artwork from concept design visuals
• Working with pre-designed files, amending the artwork files according to the customer guidelines
• Proof read documents to ensure work conforms to customer and technical requirements.
• Creating mock-ups and working with Pantones
• Producing highly accurate print-ready artwork and visuals
• Ensure clear communication between departments
• Setting up production files, typesetting, author amends, preparing files for print, quality checking output
• Managing your workload
Qualifications/Experience:
• You will have experience in creating artwork for print with a dedicated eye for accuracy and excellent typesetting skills.
• Excellent Illustrator and Photoshop experience
• A good knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
• The successful candidate will have worked within a printing environment in a hands on role previously
• Please be aware this is not a graphic design role and that you must have worked at Artwork stage in order to qualify for the role.
• Technical awareness is essential, in line with the requirement for supplying printers with hi-res PDFs directly (i.e. a knowledge of image formats and colour modes and their respective usage)
• You will be efficient, organised and accurate, with the ability to work to high standards and meet tight deadlines.
• Packaging experience an advantage but not essential
