Key Responsibilities:
• The role is split equally between undertaking equipment / facilities improvement work, and undertaking lab based packaging and product performance testing projects.
• In relation to equipment and facilities improvement you will be responsible for:
- defining and documenting equipment improvement scope
- identifying possible solutions including basic design concepts
- liaising with equipment suppliers on technical details and to obtain quotes
- supporting purchasing of new equipment and supporting commissioning.
• In relation to testing you will be responsible for:
- undertaking and managing test-lab based evaluations
- delivering results and conclusions to clients at key stages of their product and packaging development
- managing aspects of lab operation
- undertaking client contact in setting up work and delivering results.
• With the expert team you will play a role in continuing the success and growth of this fast moving operation
Candidate Requirements:
• Hold technical qualifications, preferably in engineering, physics or related field
• Understand the basics of mechanisms and equipment/machinery
• Enjoy a hands-on environment and demonstrate practical ability
• Have experience in report writing
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Have the ability to work well in a team.
