Summary:
• Lead packaging development team locally and support directly the Head of Packaging at group level.
• Ensure company has best competitive advantage and optimise sustainability, cost, quality, efficiency, and enhance overall performance across the supply chain.
• Ensure consumer experience of packaging and product is of the highest standard
Key Responsibilities:
• Head of packaging development at group level
• Ensure brand requirements are met and briefs are translated into packaging
• Lead a dynamic experienced team of packaging and print professionals and help achieve business, departmental and personal goals and objectives
• Lead projects across multi-disciplinary teams
• Provide technical packaging and print support across all functions
• Ensure brand and business goals are clear and you are able to proactively support the business targets
• Ensure packaging sustainability strategy is in place and look for opportunities across supply chain
• Ensure Print is consistent and of highest standard and relevant research techniques are available
• Responsible for all packaging related projects and third party projects in UK
• World class efficiency targets set by business must be fully realised within the context of packaging development
Candidate Requirements:
• Ideally educated in material science or engineering discipline
• IOP/IOM desirable
• Good breadth of packaging and technical knowledge
• Either from FMCG, Retail or Packaging background
• Good knowledge of print, reprographics and related processes
• Leadership skills are vital
• Ability to think strategically
• Track record of innovative thinking and achievements
