Key Responsibilities:
• Developing relationships with key stakeholders in pack change value chain (i.e. R&D Pack Dev, Medicines and Process Delivery, Pack Tech, supply sites, Packaging Artwork, and Commercial) to align global and regional strategies with local supply demand.
• Coordination and tracking of secondary package design to ensure packaging supply solutions for New Product/Pack Introductions (NPIs), Regulatory copy changes, Pack Optimisation Strategies, product transfers, and site performance improvement initiatives (value engineering).
• Management and creation of high level project plans in collaboration with supply sites for introduction of new and major pack changes in support of business goals.
• Management, coordination and tracking of all pack change activities (i.e. pack design, patient focus group studies, component specs/drawings, testing results, key line trials, regulatory filings, etc,) with the introduction of new packaging to meet critical supply milestones and regulatory requirements.
• Providing leadership of appropriate application and use of NPI processes (i.e. NPI Range Definition Process - Packaging Image Design Documents, Pack Brochures, etc.) at supply sites while engaging key Commercial customers to meet market demands.
• Support Pack Optimisation Centres of Excellence (CoE) with development of simplification strategy processes (i.e. New Product Supply (NPS) Range Def Process, Shared Packs, Late Stage Customisation) in support of business goals.
• Support development of Pack Catalogue and Pack Brochures to drive pack design standards at supply sites to meet global and regional Commercial strategies.
• Actively work with Technical Packaging and Pack Optimisation CoE deployment strategies and project execution plans and monitor timely execution of rollout across the organisation.
• Actively support and coordinate global manufacturing strategy and Commercial best package design standards and goals.
• Build relationship with pack advocacy management Lead to help monitor and influence internal package design drivers
Candidate Requirements:
• Ability to react quickly and positively to rapidly changing environments and newly emerging information
• Operational Excellence green belt accreditation or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to manage and control multiple projects simultaneously
• Understanding of the complexities of global business operations.
• Strong listening skills, analytical ability to diagnose problems, resolve conflict, and develop practical solutions.
• Breadth & depth across disciplines or functions; expertise in field required; separate by basic and preferred
• Must be non-comparative, objective and relevant. Critical/essential to accomplish the role
• High level qualification in Technical field or equivalent pharmaceutical project management experience.
• Must have extensive experience (5+ years) in the pharmaceutical packaging field related to regulatory submissions, pack development and packaging operational activities across multiple dose forms.
• Individual shall have business experience within the pharmaceutical industry to include product launches, recalls, anti-counterfeiting, tamper evidence, FDA and Global Regulatory requirements, Child Resistance and Braille requirements.
• Strong communication skills, both interpersonal and presentation; able to interact with and influence all levels of individuals across a variety of organisations
• Proven experience with pack change process development and execution.
• Proven experience with NPI processes and Packaging Artwork capabilities.
• Demonstrated success of operating core NPI processes in a commercial or manufacturing environment
• Understanding and experience with packaging strategy, portfolio rationalisation, new product introductions and product transfers.
