Key Responsibilities:
• This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious candidate to join the Packaging Technology team.
• In this role you will support product development and marketing initiatives and progress new opportunities for innovation and cost reductions in the packaging field.
• You will develop packaging formats from conception through to full-scale production and have responsibility for managing projects within a specified product category.
• You will also have the opportunity to be supported in gaining further Packaging Technology qualifications should you like to further your education in this field.
• Working together with the Packaging Team to improve packaging systems and processes
• Communicating pro-actively with contacts in Marketing, Planning, Mill Operations, Purchasing and with packaging suppliers
• Project management - managing teams and members of other functions
Candidate Requirements:
• You will be analytical with a high level of attention to detail, be proactive and have the ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience of working to manage projects from start to finish within tight timescales in a fast moving environment is also required.
• You will have excellent communication skills as you will need to liaise with suppliers across Europe as well as a range of internal departments.
• Previous relevant work experience gained within a similar environment encompassing aspects of the packaging development process. This should include knowledge of materials testing and development, manufacturing, printing, product promotions and working with logistics and retailers
• Ability to pick up and use computer packages
• An understanding of how costs can be built into or out of products
• An understanding of products, commercial and business acumen
