Key Responsibilities:
• Reports to Technical Director
• Managing new product developments from concept through to launch
• Carrying out feasibility studies on different materials, comparing the benefits etc
• Running and coordinating material trials and any product testing to follow
• Raising appropriate paperwork
• Organising customer samples
• Collating and presenting results
• Working closely with all functions of the business including production, quality, and specifically the Technical Director and Technical Support Manager
• Some customer liaison will be required
• Future prospects are wide and varied due to expansion, acquisition, diversification and innovation
Candidate Requirements:
• Scientific background
• Technical development background in packaging
• Hands on approach
• Experience of running technical trials, sourcing materials, feasibility studies and writing technical reports
• Project management skills
• Able to work on own initiative
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels within an organisation
