Reporting to:
• Senior Packaging Development and Innovation Manager
Key Responsibilities:
• This is a unique opportunity to creatively develop packaging for some of the UK's favourite brands. To achieve this you will be working with project teams including colleagues from Marketing, Technical, Production and Strategic Sourcing on a wide variety of innovation developments.
• Developing prototype solutions, using your skills, experience, commercial awareness and creativity.
• Develop and prepare packaging which allows ideas under consideration to be effectively tested with consumers, and or customers.
• Managing the introduction of new packaging, in conjunction with comparny and contractors staff as appropriate
• Proactively resolve Packaging design issues, in Operations and/or in Trade.
• Use consumer, customer, market and technology developments to propose innovation opportunities
• Take prototype solutions and then commercialise to Plant scale.
• Take the technical lead on projects when appropriate, managing project risks to achieve the agreed timescales and costs while maintaining safe operations
• Projects typically include a capital spend of circa £4m and revenue spend of circa £250k
Candidate Requirements:
• Institute of Packaging qualified.
• Educated in a science related subject.
• Knowledge of ISO systems and FMCG development processes.
• Ability to network with outside organisations to gather innovation opportunities.
• Understanding of the process for gathering insight and innovation.
• Project management, coaching and communication skills.
• Understanding of the impact on trade quality of beer and dispense parameters
• With first class project management, communication and influencing skills, you will be an ambassador for change within the business.
• Engaging, able to push the boundaries, communicate across all areas as they will be working and leading cross functional projects

• £45k basic salary
