Key Responsibilities:
• To maintain all the packaging and pallet specifications for the group and originate any new specifications as required.
• Handling packaging complaints with suppliers and implementing corrective action whilst maintaining the non-conformance information to enable reports at any time.
• To define the requirements for new packaging, liaising with all internal departments.
• To provide a detailed brief to the chosen supplier, liaise with internal departments, the design studio and take the project through to approval. Once a project is fully approved all relevant departments must be notified immediately.
• The provision of packaging specifications to customers.
Other tasks:
• Instigate basic checks on all incoming packaging.
• Attending packaging print runs for approval where necessary.
• Arrange and oversee packaging trials and reporting on there outcome.
• Managing all areas of e centre membership including the allocation of
FRS bar codes and dealing with scanning issues.
• To work with the IT department to help with the installation and maintenance of the SAP computer system. This will include packaging specification information and bill of materials detail.
• Dealing with origination costs whilst maintaining historical records and discussing these costs with the Purchasing Manager.
• Creating and amending in house label designs.
• Overseeing the FRS membership of UDEX and inputting data as required.
• Primary contact for J Sainsbury's 6 key dependencies project.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties to meet the business needs as required by the Purchasing Manager.
Candidate Requirements:
• Degree calibre, At least 2 years experience in a fast moving packaging and manufacturing environment.
