Key Responsibilities:
To support the Packaging Technology and Design function in all areas. The tasks include:
• Preparing artwork for packaging components, complying with corporate design and recognising change and version control.
• Liaising with customers, internal departments, Supply units and external suppliers in the origination and supply of approved packaging artwork.
• Development of packaging material specifications.
• Issuing and approving packaging specifications and other packaging related documentation.
• Maintaining packaging inspection plans on SAP.
• Sampling, testing and inspection of incoming packaging materials to determine compliance with the specification.
• Performing a trouble-shooting role with regard to the interface between components and equipment within Production.
• Resolving issues relating to component problems with suppliers.
• To perform other duties as may be reasonably requested and agreed with Senior Management.
Candidate Requirements:
• Knowledge of some of the technical aspects of packaging, and Apple Macintosh experience would be advantageous.
• Communication with people at various levels within an organisation.
• Use of PCs and WP packages.
• "A" level or equivalent standard is a minimum requirement preferably in Science based studies.
• Qualifications in Maths and English would be advantageous.
• IOP Diploma in Packaging Technology
• P.C. literacy i.e. WORD, ACCESS, EXCEL, SAP is important.
