Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the preproduction element of the business. To liaise closely with production to optimise the routing of jobs and most effective ways of running jobs
• To work with the Finance Manager to ensure that the internal project management system is set up to accurately reflect current machine capabilities and performance
• To control the purchasing function, ensuring that materials are purchased in the most effective way within budgets set
• To continually assess and implement plans to reduce the cost of purchases within the business
• To ensure that the correct manufacturing, packing and palletisation methods are agreed and communicated to production following a transit trial
• Develop processes and deliver training to ensure that prices and quotations are completed in a timely manner and communicated to the External Sales Team in the best format to secure the work
• To be a member of the Management Team to maximise opportunities for profitable development and expansion
• Adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems
• Co-operate with the company in complying with relevant health and safety legislation, policies and procedures in the performance of the duties of the post
Candidate Requirements:
• Educated to Degree level or equivalent relevant industrial experience
• MS Office software especially Excel and Outlook
• Packaging design and manufacturing processes
• Printing manufacturing processes
• Retail environment experience
• Modern office procedures and methods including telephone communications and office systems
• Working within a customer focused environment
• Project management
• Commercial aspects of business: quoting, invoicing etc.
• Managing Budgets
• Modern business communication, including style and format of emails, letters, minutes, and reports
• Four years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
